Welcome to UCL: Success story of Aiganym

We are delighted to congratulate our Head girl, Y13 pupil, Aiganym who has been accepted to University College London (UCL), which is one of the world's best universities, consistently placed in the global top 20 in a wide range of world rankings.

For your attention, here is a story of Aiganym’s achievements and her way to success:

"When I was applying to the UK, I knew I wanted to study in the heart of London, a city that has a special meaning to me. I applied to UCL because it is a top-ranking university and it has an outstanding department of Economics.

UCL is my top choice university in the UK, so it feels relieving that I have a great place to spend the next 3 years of my life.

Studying at Haileybury Almaty since the day it opened has been an incredible experience. Not only is it the school that gave me a great foundation to step into a world-class university, but it is a place I call home. Having done so many things in and out of the classroom, from creating fun memories in my favourite lessons to organizing new events for our school as Head Girl, I am proud to be a Haileybury Almaty alumni. I hope to come visit often and see one of my dear projects – the eco-committee - grow and expand its positive impact."

Aiganym's achievements:

IGCSE grades – 7 A*s and 3 As
AS level grades – 3 As in Mathematics, Economics, Biology; and an A* in A-level Russian
Head Girl – lead the organisation of new events, such as the Winter Ball (now a Haileybury Almaty tradition)
