We are delighted to announce that the Haileybury Astana Class of 2019 has been rewarded with offers to study at some of the world’s leading universities for next year. Covering a wide range of academic disciplines these achievements demonstrate the school’s level of academic excellence and the subject breadth on offer within our Sixth Form Curriculum.
Utilising the various components of the Haileybury Habits, our students have shown their determination and resilience to succeed in the highly competitive global universities marketplace. Encouraged and challenged by our experienced teachers and guided skilfully on the university application procedure, these offers demonstrate just how far rigorous academics and a rich and supportive school life can take a student, regardless of their background. They have now been able to achieve their goals in the next step in their career development under the careful guidance of our staff and we wish them well in the future.

Aruzhan Yusup also performed exceptionally well, scoring 41 points in the IB Diploma and 1500 plus in her SATs. This made her an excellent proposition to universities around the world and was offered a full scholarship at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
A number of students were also offered scholarships to universities in China, Malaysia, Canada and here in Kazakhstan. Winning merit and need-based scholarships is an important sign of a university’s interest in applicants, and our success stories reflect our students’ international outlook, high standards and resourcefulness.
What unites Haileybury students is the fact they gain a holistic and vibrant education, based on the values of the British Independent education system, which is truly unique in quality in Kazakhstan. We are immensely proud of our first graduating cohort and we wish them all the best of luck.
