Our teachers Bianca Pegler, Kate Silvanus, Mike Collins and Paul Silvanus are embarking on a Himalayan trek to reach Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
Arriving in Kathmandu on Friday, the group will then fly on to a small airport called Lukla, famed for being on the side of a mountain. Starting their trek on Sunday 10th and at 2,460m above sea level, their trek will take them along beautiful trails with spectacular mountain views and eventually they hope to reach Everest Base Camp, at 5,550m, on Monday 18th March.
On their journey they will meet local Sherpa people and will be giving pencils and stationary to local children.
As well as doing this for the personal challenge and adventure, they are doing this to raise money to help Almas Suleimenov, 3 years old.
