Accomplished Kazakhstani painter Anara Abzhanova visited school

We were very grateful to Anara agreeing to come in to present the certificates to the winners of the painting project pupils completed in class. The pupils worked inspired by the style of Anara’s paintings, and loved the way Anara painted Almaty architecture and landscape. They were proud to learn more about such a wonderful artist from Almaty. Anara kindly spent time looking at every child’s sketchbook from Prep 1, selected winners and signed certificates. We are sure they will always treasure these certificates.

She also took time to advise examination pupils studying IGCSE and A-level.

Here is a message from a Anara Abzhanova:

Today was a special day for me, as I was awarding 4 girls and 1 boy studying at the prestigious British school @haileybury_almaty_art for very interesting paintings. I wish them success in all their endeavours! I am grateful to everyone who was there to meet with me. Once again, I want to thank everyone who was with Hannah, an excellent Art teacher, on the way to this award; everyone who spent their time and efforts and helped as much as they could. I also thank all those who provided this opportunity for children to prove themselves and show their work. I am sure that they will get new opportunities to win new awards. This memorable certificate will remind everyone of challenging yet wonderful minutes full of creativity on the road to success.
