We are academically selective and we expect and assist our pupils to achieve excellent examination results at IGCSE and A Levels. Our pupils take up places at excellent universities in the UK, the US, Europe, Asia and around the world in a wide range of courses. In addition to providing intellectual rigour, challenge and encouraging academic curiosity we provide a holistic education that balances academic achievement with the development of character, resilience, and leadership. All pupils are strongly encouraged to take full advantage of the widest range of co-curricular activities on offer at Haileybury Almaty.
Participation in these activities stretches the pupils; it promotes a sense of social responsibility, enhances team spirit, engenders confidence and develops strong values to guide them in an increasingly complex world. A Haileybury education is built on outstanding pastoral care. A nurturing environment underpins all of our endeavours and helps shape the distinctive characteristics of Haileyburians.
The school is very proud of our close links with Haileybury UK and Haileybury Astana with whom we share both their traditions and values, whilst we value close links with our local community in Almaty. We seek to develop young people that are ready to be global citizens and leaders within their communities in the future.
Our goal is for our young women and men to leave Haileybury fully equipped with the life skills and the academic credentials necessary for them to flourish in a competitive global employment market. We work with our families to ensure that our pupils leave the school fulfilled, proud of their achievements and full of compassion for others.
We look forward to welcoming you to the vibrant and diverse school community at Haileybury Almaty.
"Everything we do during and after this crisis must be with a strong focus on building more equal, inclusive and sustainable economies and societies that are more resilient in the face of pandemics, climate change and the many other global challenges we face." UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres
It is in this spirit that Haileybury School will introduce the framework of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for a reflective journey to build a better post-pandemic world with our pupils and the whole school community.
