Haileybury Almaty pupils’ Charity Initiative

We are proud to share with you the story of Nursultan; he started the initiative together with his friends who are current and former Haileybury pupils.

Nursultan says: "Our Charity aims to provide help and support to families and kids in "Abai" village near Almaty. Even though our Team might not be the biggest, we try our best to visit the village and the families every 1 to 2 Weeks and provide any type of assistance we possibly can.

The idea of starting this project and helping people came to me when I went to visit my grandfather in a similar village close by, and saw the eye-opening conditions in which some poor families live in. Our current aim is to start small - help and provide food, books, old cloth and anything else that might be of great value for them. However, we are also planning on helping the old school in their village by providing school equipment, as well as implementing TeachingforHeroes and making an Online Learning platform available to all kids.

This is why I wanted to kindly ask the whole Haileybury Community to not hesitate and join us on our weekly visits to the village, or provide any help they possibly can - giving old books, school equipment, cloth etc. "
