Class of 2018 celebrate a great set of A Level results

Pupils and staff are celebrating a very fine set of A Level results at Haileybury Almaty today with over 50% of our A level grades being A*/A grades.

Mathematics, which is always our most popular A Level subject, scored an outstanding two thirds of grades at A*/A and 95% A*-C (with Further Maths 80% A*/A).

Headmistress Lynne Oldfield commented, “ I am delighted that the wonderful Class of 2018 has risen to the challenges. The pupils and teachers have done what Haileybury  Almaty does best – they got on with the task ahead and rose to the challenge..

The superb results of our highest achievers and the overall standout statistic of 70% A* – B also encapsulates  the Haileybury ethos. Our pupils have gained the grades they need to embark on their university careers – 95 % of applicants will be heading off this September to top global  universities which include: University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), USA, University of California at Berkeley (Berkeley, California), USA and University College London, UK. I am immensely proud of them and wish them well in the future”.
