Haileybury Almaty pupils achieved an outstanding set of results at the World Scholar’s Cup Almaty Round 2026, held at Galaxy International School on 9–10 March 2026.
Competing across the Junior and Senior Divisions, our pupils earned an impressive number of Gold, Silver, and Trophy awards in debate, writing, team challenges, subject challenges, and individual categories. The results reflect a superb combination of knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication.
One of the major highlights of the round was Haileybury Almaty’s performance in the Global Qualifiers - Champion Teams. In the Junior Division, Team 118 - Adeliya A., Alaia K., and Mariam T. - finished in 1st place; Team 119 - Aima M., Emily B., and Sofiya D. - finished in 2nd place; and Team 120 - Danil Y., Miras D., and Amirzhan S. - finished in 4th place.
Following their success in Almaty, qualifying pupils now look ahead to the next stage of the competition: the World Scholar’s Cup Global Rounds 2026. According to the official World Scholar’s Cup schedule, this year’s Global Rounds will take place in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Prague, Seoul, Shanghai, Bangkok, Da Nang, Christchurch, and Tokyo-Yokohama between June and December 2026, with qualified teams able to attend a Global Round of their choice.
