We are delighted to share that Vladimir Zhuk, our Olympiad Specialist and Teacher of Mathematics, was selected as one of only ten teachers and coaches from across Kazakhstan to meet President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Akorda Presidential Palace.
The special event formed part of the President’s annual reception honoring Kazakhstan’s international Olympiad winners and medallists. During the ceremony, President Tokayev presented Vladimir with the prestigious Medal for Labor Merit in recognition of his dedication to preparing students for world-class competitions.
This summer, Haileybury Almaty graduates Timur M. and Amirlan A. represented Kazakhstan at the International Mathematical Olympiad, bringing home silver and bronze medals, respectively. Timur attended the presidential meeting, while Amirlan was unable to join as he had already left for the United States to begin his studies at MIT.
