On November 9-10, Haileybury Almaty students, members of the Haileybury MUN CCA, took part in the annual Model UN conference organized by Cambridge International School in Tashkent.
The school was proudly represented by Dimas (Y9), Rafi, Alikhan, Jin-Soo, Arslan, Temirlan, Nurai and Donald (all Y12).
They have successfully participated in four committees:
• General Assembly (UNGA)
• World Health Organization (WHO)
• Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
• The Security Council (UNSC)
For two days, our students were discussing key issues of international politics and suggesting various solutions.
Special congratulations to Donald and Nurai (Y12), who were awarded the ‘Best delegates of the conference’ title for their outstanding performances and contributions to the discussions.
