COBIS Award for Year 13 pupil at Haileybury Astana
Congratulations to Naira, a Year 13 pupil studying IB Diploma Programme at Haileybury Astana, who recently achieved runner-up position in the COBIS Poetry Competition.
The Council of British International Schools (@cobisorg) is a membership association that represents more than 450 schools and organisations, globally.
The competition guest judge was very complimentary about her poem and left the following comment: “The poet has a strong sense of rhythm and rhyme. The poem ends with the enticing word – ‘vast’ – conveying the great possibilities at their feet.” The organisation received entries from 142 schools worldwide, so this is truly a fantastic achievement.
