Haileybury Astana U19 Football Teams Shine at CAFA Tournament in Tashkent

Haileybury Astana is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our U19 football teams, who recently represented the school at the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) tournament in Tashkent. 

The event brought together top teams from across the region, and our students showcased not only their football skills but also the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.Our Girls’ U19 team achieved a remarkable third place, demonstrating their resilience and commitment throughout the tournament. Their success was marked by strategic play and exceptional teamwork, earning them a well-deserved spot among the top teams.

The Boys’ U19 team also represented Haileybury Astana with pride, finishing in sixth place amidst strong competition. Each match was a testament to their dedication and hard work, and their efforts on the field reflected the true spirit of our school.

We are especially proud to acknowledge two students, Mathew and Amelia, who were selected for the tournament’s All-Star Team. This prestigious honour recognises their outstanding individual performances, technical skill, and the effort they have dedicated to developing their abilities. Their selection is a reflection of the high standards of sportsmanship and discipline upheld by Haileybury Astana.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that Haileybury Astana will host the CAFA Basketball Tournament on our own grounds in February 2025. This upcoming event will be a wonderful opportunity to welcome talented athletes from across the region to our campus and foster a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition.

Haileybury Astana is immensely proud of our U19 football teams for their achievements and the dedication they bring to every game. We look forward to supporting our student-athletes in future tournaments and witnessing their continued growth and success.

DeepSeekers won the Team Model Award at the FIRST LEGO League World Festival in Houston, bringing home one of the event’s most prestigious honors.
