Applications for the Haileybury Astana Academic Scholarship Competition are open for external students only.

The application process for the 2027-2031 academic years will open at a later date and will be announced separately on this page.

Admissions Criteria for the 2026-2030 Academic Year:

This scholarship offers talented pupils the opportunity to study at Haileybury Astana from Year 9 / 12+.

Competition stages (short overview):

• Video submission - January 21 to February 20, 2026
• Subject testing (Math, English, Science) - February 28, 2026
• CAT4 assessment - March 15, 2026
• Interviews - April 8-9, 2026
• Financial review - April 24 to May 22, 2026

Who can apply:
• Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan
• Strong academic performance
• Upper-Intermediate level of English
• Date of birth: 01.09.2012 - 31.08.2013

All applicants must first complete the application form.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a 1-minute video in English.

Important:
This programme is open to external students only.
Once a sufficient number of applicants is reached, registration will be closed early.

  • All tests are conducted in English.
  • The school does not provide any sample tests or example questions.
  • Test results are confidential and are not shared with candidates.
  • Candidates receive only a "Pass" or "Does Not Pass" notification.

Haileybury Astana Celebrates the Success of its 2026 IB Diploma Graduates
This year’s graduates achieved an average IB Diploma score of 35 points, compared with the current world average of 30.88. The school recorded an IBDP pass rate of 100%, with the highest individual score achieved being an outstanding 41 points out of a possible 45.
