Ramzan Joins Historic Dombyra Record Performace in Kazakhstan

Astana recently witnessed a historic event as 3,000 dombyra players gathered to set a new national record, including Ramzan, a Year 10 student at Haileybury Astana.

The event, titled "Naǵyz Qazaq Dombyra," brought together participants from across Kazakhstan, celebrating unity, pride, and rich Kazakh culture. The gathering was dedicated to the dombyra, Kazakhstan’s beloved traditional instrument known for its deep, soulful sound. By bringing together thousands of musicians, the event underscored the dombyra's enduring place as a symbol of Kazakh heritage.

This record-breaking performance not only showcased the musical talents of the participants but also reminded everyone of Kazakhstan’s rich cultural traditions.
