Next year, Almaty plans to launch buses for all public schools. This was stated by the mayor of the city Yerbolat Dosaev during a meeting with the population of the Medeu district.
"Next year we are going to launch a school bus programme in Almaty for all schools. We are negotiating and preparing solutions. We will try to solve this problem faster. There are traffic jams everywhere," Dosaev said.
"If private schools join this programme, I will accept them with pleasure. The city will try to cover all schools with buses, I think this will greatly relieve the streets. We are now preparing a program and calculating the possibilities," the mayor added.
We really want to make the trip to school a nice start to the day for pupils and their parents, to reduce the time lost in traffic jams. While also it gives the school, as a community, a chance to make a contribution to the common cause of environmental improvement.

The attendant will monitor the boarding/getting off of passengers, as we strongly believe that the driver cannot do so for safety reasons.
In addition, the attendant will provide information support from the side of the bus via the mobile application, including recording the boarding/getting off of the passenger, notification of delays/incidents, and any communication with the parent in case of need.
A comfortable Mercedes Sprinter minibus, issued no earlier than in 2017, with a passenger capacity of 14 seats, equipped with safety belts and warning signs «children» will be provided for transportation.
In this case, the attendant will send a delay notification to the parents of those passengers who have not yet boarded the bus.
In this case, the attendant will immediately inform the Transport Manager of Haileybury Almaty and all necessary measures will be taken to replace the vehicle with a proper one and to organize the safe transfer of passengers.
Senior school pupils can reach the drop-on point/go home from the drop-off point unaccompanied if provided with the written consent of the parent/legal representative.
Junior school pupils must be accompanied by a parent/legal representative* while going to the drop-on point/going home from the drop-off point.
If the parent/legal representative is not at the drop-off point at the scheduled time, the passenger cannot leave the bus and will continue to follow the route, while the attendant will attempt to contact the passenger’s parent. If communication fails, the pupil will be taken to the School from where he/she can be picked up by his/her parents/legal representatives.
