2022 Haileybury Almaty Scholarships for pupils aged 12+!

Haileybury Almaty is pleased to announce that we are expanding our current Scholarship programme and are announcing a School Scholarship competition for gifted pupils aged 12+

Criteria for participation:  

  • Citizenship of Kazakhstan 
  • Candidates must be 13 years old at the start of schooling (01.09.2022). Date of birth - from 01.09.2008 to 31.08.2009. 
  • Report card average grade - 4.5 and above
  • Upper Intermediate English level
  • Video presentation - a two-minute video about candidate in English 
  • Essay on "Who I am and how I would contribute to life at Haileybury Almaty" (including information about academic success, participation in co-curricular activities, sports, music, olympiads, volunteering, and more). The word limit for the essay is 300 words.

Dates of the competition: 

  • Application period: 01.02.2022 – 09.03.2022 
  • Selection round - computer test (English, Mathematics, Logic) – 9.04.2022 
  • Submission of family financial statements – April 2022
  • Final interviews with candidates – April 2022
  • Announcement of the results - from May 2022

The winners of a prestigious global scholarship Rise for the World
Alikhan is announced as one of the winners of a prestigious global scholarship, Rise for the World, sponsored by the Rhodes Trust and the Schmidt Foundation in the USA. It's a full scholarship to any university in the world, plus many other networking benefits, particularly in Silicon Valley. Alikhan is the first winner from Kazakhstan of this prestigious award.
