A Month of Innovation and Inspiration with MIT Students at Haileybury Almaty!

Bridging Knowledge Across Continents: MIT x Haileybury Almaty 

This January, Haileybury Almaty was privileged to host Dale and Eliana, two exceptional students from MIT—ranked No. 1 worldwide in the QS World University Rankings—as part of the MISTI Programme (MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives).

This prestigious programme connects MIT’s brightest minds with schools worldwide, fostering collaboration and innovation in STEM education.

 Dale (Chemical Engineering) led Chemistry and Biology lessons, making science come alive through interactive labs.

 Eliana (Earth & Computer Science) introduced our pupils to Data Science and Earth Science, expanding their understanding of the world around them.

For a month, they inspired curiosity, sparked meaningful discussions, and engaged pupils across year groups. We are grateful for this fantastic collaboration and the knowledge they shared. Their visit exemplifies the global exchange of ideas that drives education forward.
