Congratulations to the winners of the ‘Illustration of Abai Kunanbayev's ‘Book of Words’ competition!

Congratulations to our school students who took part in the competition and whose works were selected by the jury to be used in the portrait gallery of the book

In celebration of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, Abai Kunanbayev, the ‘BAURZHAN Foundation’, ‘Private Foundation’, and the ‘Children are painting the world’  social foundation, have all joined together with UNICEF and the ‘Samruk-Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund’, to organise a social project for the illustrated publication of the ‘Book of Words’ by Abai Kunanbayev in both the Kazakh and Russian languages.

 

Congratulations to eight of our school students who took part in the competition and whose works were selected by the jury to be used in the portrait gallery of the book: Yulia K., Alua M., Makpal M., Dameli Y., Dinmukhammed S., Nika B., Dias O., Liam R., Selin Ch.

Well done!

We also congratulate Katerina K, the winner of this competition. Well done! All our students were awarded participation certificates, and Katya received the Winner’s Certificate!

We are proud of our students and their success. Haileybury is a multinational school and we appreciate that our students and teachers know and honour Abai Kunanbaev, one of the greatest Kazakh poets; that they are genuinely interested in the history and literature of the country, and learn about its heroes.
