Haileybury Almaty is very proud of their active Model United Nations team

This group led by Y11 students Anuar and Alinur, has so far participated in MUN debates in Montreal, Almaty and New Delhi. 

They have won honours including Best Delegate, Best Committee and various other awards in these two day events. Our team consists of Selin, Alikseniia, Nicolas, Ulpan, Melana, and Tomiris. We are growing every week!

Because of their success, they have been accepted to participate in the most prestigious event for high school MUN - the Harvard University MUN in Dubai. This online event will take place over two days in June and our team will be preparing with teacher supervisors Mrs. Ana Munoz Lopera and Mr. Steve Stockermans. Headmaster Mr. Simon Mills has awarded the participating team by paying their entry fees for this prestigious event.

The MUN group is now expanding and inviting others interested in joining with small scale events - online but between students - and then entering regional competitions. Next fall, our group will put their experience to the test when they host their very own Haileybury Almaty MUN and invite some of their new friends from around the world to visit us virtually.
