This year, our Junior School athletes once again had the honour of representing Haileybury Almaty at the prestigious U11 FOBISIA Games in Bangkok — and what an unforgettable experience it was.
Over several days of intense competition, our pupils participated in Athletics, Swimming, TeeBall, and Football, going head-to-head with students from top international schools across the region. Their efforts were nothing short of exceptional.
With months of dedication behind them — including early morning swim sessions and Saturday athletics training at the Republican Sports College — our pupils brought their very best to the field, track, and pool. Their perseverance paid off, as they delivered outstanding individual and team performances, achieving a series of personal bests and setting 22 new Haileybury school records across swimming and athletics.
We are incredibly proud to share that Haileybury Almaty won a trophy in every competition, with a first-place victory in Swimming, and a very close second in Athletics. These results mark one of our most successful showings at the Games to date — a true reflection of the talent, teamwork, and determination of our young athletes.
Beyond the medals and records, the FOBISIA Games provided a platform for our students to build lifelong memories, develop resilience, and show the very best of themselves.
Congratulations to every pupil who took part — and a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff who coached, supported, and inspired them every step of the way.
