On March 9-10, 2021 the XXXIII International Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad (APMO) was held in distant format.
The winners and runners-up of the Regional stage of Republican Mathematical Olympiad participated in the Olympiad. The honour of Almaty was defended by 18 schoolchildren.

As a result of the Olympiad, pupils of Haileybury Almaty took prizes there: Yuri T. won gold medal, and Kasym M. won silver medal.
