"ArtSportFest" Festival 2018

"Art Sport Festival"

On May 20 in Astana, 200 children with special needs have participated in the unique inclusive Festival "ArtSportFest" hosted in Haileybury Astana for the 1st time where our pupils and staff were helping to run this event.

The festival is organised for the fourth year in a row and every year it is a bright holiday which gives opportunity for children to try their hand in more than 20 sports, arts and activities for one day, perform on stage, participate in sport competitions and learn something new.

The main purpose of the festival is to make children confident in their abilities, to develop a desire for achievements. The event's slogan is "I can do everything!". We are sure that children with disabilities can achieve great results both in sports and art, but they need our support.

There were many different types of master classes and competitions within the festival as chess, togyz kumalak, yoga, table tennis, darts, asyk atu, art therapy, modelling, robotics, writing motivational boards, karate, crossfit, Lego design and much more other. Also children have enjoyed concert numbers, treats and gifts. Traditionally, "ArtSportFest" have hosted paraolympians, honored coaches of national sports, table tennis, representatives of international teams, Paralympic Games participants, media persons.
