Central Asian Volleyball Classic at Haileybury Astana

From the 13th to the 16th of April, our school hosted the Central Asian Volleyball Classic for pupils under 15 and 19 years of age. The volleyball competition featured seven international schools from different countries, with over 240 athletes participating.

Schools from Tashkent, Dushanbe, Almaty, Astana, and Bishkek competed for the Boys and Girls Championships in two different age categories. Haileybury Astana teams achieved remarkable results, securing 3rd place in the Boys U15, 3rd place in the Girls U19, and 2nd place in the Girls U15 age groups.

These achievements are even more remarkable, given the short practice season. We hope to build on this success over the coming weeks in the local COASH tournaments and in future years in the same tournament.
