Haileybury Astana is proud to have been awarded its first Eco-Schools Green Flag-an internationally recognised mark of excellence in environmental education and sustainability. This prestigious award reflects the dedication, creativity, and commitment of our students, staff, and wider school community to promoting eco-conscious practices and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
Under the leadership of Whole School Eco-Coordinator Almagul Sagynay, the Eco-Schools programme has empowered students to take meaningful action through initiatives such as recycling, waste reduction, eco-assemblies, tree planting, and sustainability exhibitions. The Green Flag recognises not only these achievements but also the student-led approach that places young people at the heart of environmental decision-making.
Achieving the Green Flag is an important milestone in our sustainability journey, symbolising both our progress to date and our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, climate awareness, and responsible stewardship of the planet. It is a source of pride for our entire school community and a testament to what can be achieved when students, staff, and families work together towards a greener future.
