Haileybury is proud that one of our top students, Amir Hossein has received over 20 offers from many prestigious universities, in the competitive field of medicine as well as medical sciences, neuroscience and bioengineering which includes multiple offers from world's top 10 universities and offers from top 5 universities in the world. These include the best universities in the UK, the USA and Canada, including dual degrees in medicine and business. Many of these universities have offered merit based scholarships totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars with one even covering his next degree of studies.
He is still undecided on which will be his final destination, as there are so many offers. Amir was very serious about the application process and spent many long hours researching and applying to each one. His success comes first from his outstanding academics. He took more IGCSE courses than any other student - 24 in total - with excellent grades, and also was a top science student in A levels.
Amir has been the school’s sports captain consecutively for many years and has represented the school in different sports as a member and as the captain of the school’s team. In addition, he has represented the school academically, competing in STEM Olympiads and Competitions. Over the years, Amir has learnt many languages and has also pursued a number of sports at high levels, competing in regional, national and international tournaments.
“I have always wanted to leave a lasting legacy behind and I know I have a long way to go, but I'm off to a good start” Says Amir. We wish Amir the best in his tough but pleasant decision and look forward to hearing more about his success in the future.
