On February 25-27, 2022, the national final of the FIRST International Robotics Championship was held in Almaty.
The event was opened by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, the Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center, UN Women in Kazakhstan, Chevron and Suleyman Demirel University, who provided support in holding the national stage in this year.

The organizer of FIRST in Kazakhstan was the USTEM Robotics Foundation. It should be noted that FIRST is included in the list of Olympiads recommended for participation by schoolchildren and teachers by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

FIRST Tech Challenge, 12-18 years old. Participants play in alliances: collect robots in teams and compete against other teams.

Our team Sigma and Team Onai took part in this competition.
The Onai team passed the qualifying round and took 8th place in the overall standings.
Team Sigma advanced to the semi-finals and took 3rd place.
