Haileybury Almaty has officially been selected by the United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as the National Organiser for Kazakhstan for the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge — a global competition where innovation meets real-world impact.
This is not just another robotics event. It’s a platform where students design and programme robots to solve actual global challenges — from clean energy to food security — all aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With over 20 countries participating, and the final stage held at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva, the challenge puts Kazakhstan’s brightest young minds on the international stage.
As the National Organiser, Haileybury Almaty will host the official Kazakhstan national tournament between October 2025 and April 2026. The winning teams will advance to represent the nation in Geneva — presenting their ideas to the world’s leading minds in AI and robotics.
This recognition is a testament to the growing impact of robotics education in Kazakhstan and the dedication of educators like Mr. Nurlan Iskaliyev, Robotics mentor and lead coordinator of the initiative.
More details, including competition guidelines and local tournament dates, will be announced following the AI for Good Global Summit 2025 this July.
Stay tuned. The robots are coming — and they’re being built for good.
