Haileybury Almaty Pupil Shines at the 57th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad!

We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of our very own student, Insar Imash, who represented Kazakhstan at the 57th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from May 1st to May 6th, 2023.

This prestigious event, hosted by Nazarbayev University and organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chemistry Faculty of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, and the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation, brought together participants from 21 countries around the world. The countries included Kazakhstan, Russia, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Israel, Uzbekistan, and many others. This year also marked the first participation of the Brazilian team in the Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad.

The teams were formed based on the results of national chemistry competitions, and Insar Imash, a 12th-grade student at Haileybury Almaty, earned a well-deserved place on the Kazakhstani team, consisting of 16 talented individuals. He proudly represented our country during this remarkable event.

We are delighted to announce that Insar demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill, earning a silver medal and achieving the highest score among the members of the Kazakhstani team. His performance is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and passion for chemistry.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Insar Imash for this outstanding accomplishment! It is a testament to his talent, perseverance, and the exceptional education he receives at Haileybury Almaty.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chemistry Faculty of Moscow State University, and the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation for organizing this prestigious event that fosters scientific excellence and promotes international cooperation in the field of chemistry.
