Haileybury Almaty, in cooperation with Oi-Karagai, has decided to organize an event that will provide our pupils, their families and teachers with an opportunity to spend a great time together supporting the pupils who will represent their school House.
For participation each pupil needs to pay an entry fee of 10, 000 tenge. This price includes their ski pass, race insurance and organisational costs for the booking of the slopes and race layout.
All pupils will require their own ski kit and racers must wear a ski helmet. If a pupil needs to rent any equipment this will be organised directly with the resort on site.
The event will occur between 09.00-15.00 with registration and viewing at the Main Restaurant at the Aport plaza area of the resort. Each racer will have a series of practice ski runs and then two timed runs. Refreshments are available as required by families from the resort Restaurant and are not included in the fee. Families are encouraged to come and join in with skiing at the resort on the day and to enjoy the time together as a school community.
After the event there will be an awards given out at the school to give prizes to the best racers and the overall winning House.
