Humanities Week at Haileybury Almaty was an incredible celebration of knowledge, creativity, and cultural exploration!
Throughout the week, our pupils dove into thought-provoking activities like creating political cartoons, building Minecraft Roman towns, and debating at lightning speed. The University Challenge Grand Final brought house spirit to life, with Attlee taking the well-deserved victory!
We also explored diverse cuisines, from Mexican to Cuban, Italian, Chinese, and Vietnamese, showcasing the rich tapestry of global cultures.
Special thanks to our distinguished guest speakers: Dr. Michael Blaise, who brought the Alec Baldwin legal case to life, and Dr. Juldyz Smagulova, who shared fascinating insights on bilingualism and trilingualism in Kazakhstan.
From Renaissance art workshops to inspiring talks from professional athletes like Cody Porter, this week was a true testament to the importance of Humanities in shaping skills, understanding cultures, and connecting us to the world.
