We are absolutely delighted that Togzhan has been offered a place at MIT!
Togzhan has honoured her family, her school and her country by being admitted into the world’s most prestigious university, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, USA this year.
She attended Haileybury Almaty for the past two years in our high achieving A Level course, earning top A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. Along with these school awards, she has participated in international Maths Olympiads and competitions, winning gold and silver medals.
She used her talent to give back to the community as a volunteer teacher in schools around Almaty and as a Charity captain in our school.
She has been an active member of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, hiking and camping around Almaty.
Togzhan is just one of the many extraordinary students that are in our school and she is leading the way for other Kazaks to aim high.
