Class of 2019 University success stories

We are tremendously proud of the results and higher education destinations of our first graduating class at Haileybury Astana. All of our candidates successfully earned the full IB Diploma averaging an impressive 34 points overall, as compared to the worldwide average of 29.8. These results included three students achieving above 40 points and the highest score attained was 44 points out of a possible maximum of 45. This is a score only obtained by the top 1% of students.

We are also incredibly proud of our students who have received full scholarships (fees and accommodation) to universities such as Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), The National University of Singapore (NUS), Vassar College, New York, and Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.

Another feature of the Class of 2019 is the diversity of destinations; the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, China, Malaysia and France. Our French and U.K. applications are particularly notable and include such illustrious universities as Sciences Politiques, ranked 3rd in the world for politics and international relations with alumni including Emmanuel Macron, François Hollande, Boutros Boutros-Ghali and Christian Dior, and Russell Group Universities in the U.K. such as Warwick, York and Bristol.

We are incredibly proud of the results of all our IB students and wish them every success as they embark on the next chapter of their academic journeys in universities across the globe. We will follow their progress with interest.
