Congratulations to Saniya!

We are pleased to share news that two years in a row Haileybury Almaty pupils win medals at the International Economics Olympiad. Last year it was Danat, who is currently studying at Yale, and this year it is Saniya.

Saniya was awarded a Gold medal at the National Economics and Finances Olympiad in June, 2022 as well as in 2021.

Five finalists of the National Economics and Finances Olympiad were selected to represent the Kazakhstani team at IEO 2022 in China, which was held online due to the pandemic. Forty four teams all around the world participated in the competition, and Saniya showed tremendous results winning a Bronze medal.

Last academic year, Saniya got Silver medal at WISPO 2021; as part of Haileybury Almaty team, she was awarded 1st place at CodeW national coding competition for women with Tozbe (app against domestic violence), won a Gold medal at Infomatrix Asia 2022, and also became semi finalists of Technovation.
