The EAL Department is at the forefront of providing comprehensive language support, offering intensive English lessons meticulously crafted and delivered by a team of dedicated and specialised teachers. As the Head of the EAL Department, I am thrilled to share a bit about my background, qualifications and philosophy.
I have studied Psychology both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and have recently been awarded an MA in Inclusion. My journey in the field of EAL spans 18 years, during which I have had the privilege of working in various capacities that have honed my expertise. My professional trajectory includes roles such as Language for Learning project assistant to Head of English and Assessment, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of language acquisition and the unique challenges faced by students acquiring English as an additional language.
My passion for teaching and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment are the driving forces behind my work. I firmly believe that every student possesses untapped potential, and my goal is to create an atmosphere that nurtures their linguistic development while promoting a sense of belonging. I am dedicated to implementing innovative teaching methodologies that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each student can flourish and reach their full potential.
In my years of experience, I have witnessed the transformative power of education, and I am dedicated to empowering students to become confident and articulate communicators.
